SECTION 1 - WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
This privacy policy (the “Policy”) outlines the data collection and processing activities of RVLock & CO, LLC (also referred to herein as “RVLock,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) in connection with personally identifiable information as defined under applicable law(s) (hereinafter “Personal Information”). Specifically, it covers this website and any other online platforms owned and/or operated primarily by RVLock (hereinafter collectively the “Site”), and our mobile application. RVLock does not process Sensitive Personal Information, as defined by applicable law(s).
When you purchase something from the Site, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the Personal Information you give us such as your name, phone number, address and email address. We may also collect similar information to offer you warranty services.
When you use our mobile application, we collect your name, password, and login information solely to facilitate your use of our mobile application.
When you browse the Site and/or or engage with our marketing, we may collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, your purchase history with us, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, your general location, or information about how you interact with the Site. We may also receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. Gathering and analyzing customer data gives us the feedback we need to improve our products and/or customer service, and our ability to serve you and others is enhanced by our understanding of how you use the Site.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other important updates.
We do not intend to offer our products or services to and/or monitor natural persons in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom.
SECTION 2 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
We use Personal Information we collect to facilitate our business purposes, including the fulfillment of purchase orders, marketing, and our own internal statistics and functions. We generally keep Personal Information for as long as is necessary in connection with these purposes.
We may also share your information with third parties for the same reasons. See Section 5 for more detail.
SECTION 3 - CONSENT
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with Personal Information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it only for our business purposes.
If we ask for your Personal Information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your consent, or we may provide you with an opportunity to say no (see, for example, Section 8 herein).
How do I withdraw my consent?

SECTION 4 - DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your Personal Information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service (https://www.rvlock.com/policies/terms-of-service).
SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your Personal Information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your Personal Information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
While the third parties we work with may change from time to time, the following are some of the categories of information we may share with third parties:
- We may share names, addresses, contact information, etc., with third parties to facilitate the fulfillment and shipping of your orders, and/or our warranty program
- We may allow third parties or software providers to access the information we collect, as set out herein, in order to facilitate our own internal organization and/or processes, including customer service, internal statistics, communication, and compliance with legal requirements.
- We may share customer information such as email lists with third party marketing partners to allow them to provide you with applicable advertisements
- We may share information with third parties to manage product reviews and monitor customer satisfaction
SECTION 6 - SECURITY
To protect your Personal Information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

When you click on links on the Site, they may direct you away from the Site. Once you leave the Site or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Policy or our website’s Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
SECTION 7 - COOKIES
Here is a list of some of the cookies that we may use:
- _session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
- _shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits
- _shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
- cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.
- _secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
- storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite, If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
We may also use additional cookies to collect information about how you interact with the Site, your purchase history with us, your IP address, your general location, etc. We may also use cookies for marketing and analytics purposes. To the extent that the use of any of these cookies can be considered a sale and/or sharing of data that is subject to limitations under applicable data privacy laws, you may have the right to opt-out of them as set out in Section I8.
SECTION 8 – DO NOT SELL, DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS
We do not sell Personal Information for monetary consideration. To the extent that any of our transfers of Personal Information can be considered a sale and/or sharing of data that is subject to limitations under applicable data privacy laws, however, you may have the right to opt-out of them here: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
It is also our goal to recognize Do Not Track or global privacy control signals where possible, though we note that this is a developing area and no common industry standards for handling such preferences have been adopted.
SECTION 9 - AGE OF CONSENT, MINORS
By using the Site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence.
Our Site, products, and services are not directed to or intended for use by minors, as defined by applicable law, and the Site is not intended, or designed, to collect Personal Information from minors. We do not knowingly sell or share information from minors. Consistent with the requirements of applicable law, if it is determined that any Personal Information has been inadvertently collected on any minors without the necessary consent, we will immediately take steps to ensure that such information is deleted, or in the alternative, that any necessary consent is obtained for the use, storage, etc. of such information. Any minors as defined under applicable law must seek and obtain parent or guardian permission to use or avail themselves of our products and/or services. If you believe that we might have inadvertently collected any Personal Information from or about a minor as defined by applicable law, please contact us as set out below.
SECTION 10 – YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Under various data privacy laws, where applicable, you may have certain rights as a consumer. These rights may include the right to know about Personal Information collected about you, which information is in part provided herein. They may also include the right to access your collected Personal Information, the right to have your Personal Information deleted (though some exceptions may apply) or corrected (if inaccurate), the right to data portability, the right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive Personal Information, and the right to opt-out, which means the right to opt-out of the sale or applicable sharing of your Personal Information (as addressed, for example, in Section 8). They may also include the right to opt out of automated decision-making and profiling, and the right to non-discrimination, which means that you cannot be discriminated against because you exercise any of your applicable rights. We will not discriminate against you because of your exercise of your rights.

SECTION 11 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
