RVLock V4.0 Keyless Handle for RV Doors Left Hand

Replaced factory on truck camper artic fox 1150. This is my 6th rv door lock I put on which should tell you what I think. The older key pads were out fast but the new style are better. I've done some storage latches but those need improvement still, especially sizing -fitting correctly.

The lock showed up on time and was easy to install. The actuator did not work. I read through the troubleshooting on the website, took it apart and regreased everything. Along with loosening the factory screws. It works great after I rebuilt it.
I think they are a great lock, they need to be tested before they are shipped.
I would buy it again, I know others that wouldn't.

I replaced main door of trailer with RVlock 4.0 keyless for door hinges on rights, took less than 30 min to install and program keypad and FoB’s, up to now I’ve been happy so I order 1 for my back door which has hinges on the left, installation of the lock was quick as expected, spent over 3 hrs trying to program, didn’t get it programmed, removed and reinstalled old door hardware, further investigating how to program I seen a sticker with DOM 21/09/15, I think I got used/referred unit when I bought a new one.

This was a leaving present as I am moving to a new job. I live in Canada, but the kind soul who gave me this wonderful gift bought it in the States while she was on holiday (as it is much cheaper there than in Canada). She had double checked with me that I needed the ‘left hand’ lock, and this was confirmed in the order, so all was good. But very sadly the dispatch department at RVLock didn’t bother to do even a single check on what they sent out, so while the invoice clearly says “Left Handed” they sent a right hand lock instead, which to me is useless. I am in the midst of moving to somewhere in Canada a days drive from the border, so realistically I can’t return this unit. I am so disappointed, on the box it says “Carefully packaged at our headquarters in Utah”, but clearly not enough care was taken in this case. So my advice to others: buy from a shop where you can check what you are getting. It breaks my heart to throw a perfectly good lock into the recycling bin, but what else can I do with it?

I have had RVs for over 15 years and never had a lock system like this before.
