Why RV owners choose the Scout Battery
- Protection you can count on. Many cheap imports use bare-bones circuit boards that may not stop overcharging or short circuits, and some have been linked to overheating. The Scout’s battery management system (BMS) watches every cell and cuts power on its own if it’s overcharged, run too low, pulling too much current, or shorted. It stops charging above 14.8V and shuts off below 9.6V, so the cells stay inside their safe limits.
- Safe charging on cold mornings. Charging an unheated lithium battery below freezing can permanently damage its cells, and most budget batteries have no protection against it. The Scout’s internal heater warms the cells first, so it charges safely on a frosty morning.
- The capacity you paid for. Some generic batteries test well below their label. The Scout is rated at 100Ah using the standard test, a steady 20-amp draw at 77°F. Even at a hard 100 amps, it’s rated to run a full hour.
- Built to last for years. Rated for 5,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge, with a 10-year design life. That’s years of trips, not a couple of seasons.
- Made for washboard roads. Batteries built for a garage shelf aren’t made for miles of road vibration, which can shake internal connections loose over time. Inside the Scout battery, the four cells are joined with welded connections instead of bolts, and they sit in a vibration-damping mount that absorbs the shaking before it reaches them.
- A real company behind it. When an overseas battery fails, the seller may be gone and the warranty along with it. Scout is backed by RVLock: U.S. support at 1-888-316-9899, out of Utah since 2010.
More Information
Swap it in and the rig just works longer. The Scout Lithium Battery 100 delivers 12V LiFePO4 power in a standard Group 24 case, so it drops into the tray your existing battery came out of and connects to the cables already there. It puts out 100A continuously and takes a 50A charge, so a good afternoon of sun or a few hours of shore power puts real capacity back in. The IP65 housing is built for a battery bay. The internal heating system is built for cold weather.
Compatibility and Use
- Group size: Group 24. Dimensions 10.25 × 6.60 × 9.00
- Weight: 23.31 lbs (10.6 kg)
- Nominal voltage: 12.8V DC — a direct replacement for 12V flooded, AGM and gel batteries in most RV house-battery systems
- Parallel or series. Combined series-parallel configurations require written approval from RVLock engineering — call us before you build one.
- Charging: Requires a lithium-compatible (LiFePO4) charge profile. Confirm your inverter/charger and/or solar controller supports LiFePO4 charging. Some systems may need upgraded equipment. Not sure? Call us at 1-888-316-9899 for assistance.
- Never mix battery ages, types, or capacities; always use identical Scout batteries.

Where it earns its keep
Built for the trips you actually take
Modular system
Start with one. Add more when you need it.
Run up to four batteries in parallel for more hours of power, or up to four in series for a higher-voltage system. Your bank grows with the way you travel.
Built in
Usable power
The whole 100Ah, not the top half.
1,280Wh of power you can actually use, with 100A continuous output for the loads you really run. It takes a 50A charge, so a good afternoon of sun or a few hours on shore power puts real capacity back in.
Built in
Made to last
Built for the battery bay.
An IP65-rated housing keeps out dust, water and road grime. Inside, four prismatic cells sit in a vibration dampening system that works to protect the battery as you drive.
Built in
All-season power
Charges Even In Cold Weather.
Most lithium batteries stop charging below freezing. The Scout battery's internal heater warms the cells to a safe charging temperature on its own, and it won't drain your stored power while the rig sits in storage. Parked for the winter, it loses less than 5% of its charge every three months.

Configure Your Power
Use this configurator to match your current power setup. The battery configurator will show you how many batteries you will need and how to best wire them.
1What is your RV's system voltage?
Not sure? Nearly every RV house system is 12V. 24V, 36V and 48V are usually custom or high-output builds.
2How many do you have now?
Each 12V battery you have now is swapped one for one.
3Are your current batteries 12V or 6V?
4Scout batteries you need
Add more batteries as needed: Call 1-888-316-9899 for setup and approval.
Tap a battery to rotate it to match your battery bay. The cables follow.
Combined series-parallel setups need written approval from RVLock engineering. Call 1-888-316-9899 before you build one.
Requires a LiFePO4 charge profile on your converter, inverter/charger or solar controller.

Easy install
A straight swap. No rewiring.
It goes where your old battery came out and connects to the cables already there.

Pull the old battery
Disconnect the cables and lift out your existing Group 24 battery. Never mix battery ages, types, or capacities; always use identical Scout batteries.

Drop it in
The Scout battery should fit the same tray and connect to the same cables. Fold-away handles make the lift easy.

Check your charge profile
Set your inverter/charger and/or solar controller to a LiFePO4 profile. Not sure? Call us at 1-888-316-9899

FAQs
Is the battery safe, and how much maintenance does it require?
The Scout Lithium Battery 100 is exceptionally safe and virtually maintenance-free. It utilizes highly stable lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) chemistry, which provides peace of mind through supreme thermal and chemical stability. Combined with the electronic safeguards of the BMS, the battery actively protects itself from electrical limits. Furthermore, there are no electrolyte levels to check or water to add, allowing you to spend less time on maintenance and more time enjoying your RV.
Can I add more power later if my travel needs change?
Yes, the Scout battery is completely scalable! Because it is built around a modular 12-volt platform, you can easily expand your power bank down the road by installing additional batteries in parallel. This safely increases your available energy capacity while keeping the voltage the same, meaning your RV's power system can effortlessly grow alongside you.
Do I need to worry about the battery freezing or getting damaged by the weather?
No. The Scout battery features an internal heating system. It supplies power to your rig down to −4°F; and below 32°F, the heater warms the cells before it accepts a charge. The heater won’t drain stored power while the rig sits. The IP65 case handles dust and road spray.
Will it work with my converter or solar charger?
The Scout battery needs a lithium-compatible (LiFePO4) charge profile. Most modern inverter/chargers and solar controllers have one. Check yours before you install, or call us at 1-888-316-9899 and we'll walk through your system with you.
