Had to pay for a warranty item?

The replacement pad feels much better than the original. Time will tell how it holds up. I can not give this a higher rating because this was a warranty replacement for the older sticker face plate that you can see from reviews were poorly designed and fail within 1-2 years. The fix provided was to send me another keypad sticker that may last another 1-2 years or pay for the actual longterm fix and get the completely new keypad rubber that has been redesigned and is what all the new door locks come with now?

So I am not a fan of the company warranty process and would have to recommend looking elsewere for an electronic door lock for your RV.

the new keypad is great. much better quality than the original i think it will last a lot longer

much better quality than the original and will surely last longer

my opinion is this should have been covered with the “lifetime” warranty not sold as an “upgrade” its a fix for a fault in the product.

happy with the look and function

Looks new again !!

I wish I would have known this was available years ago. My keypad numbers were worn and damaged. Now looks like new.

Great lock but keypad either needs improvement or a cover

We loved our first lock for our camper, purchased from this website Nov. 2023, so when the locks were offered through Costco we hurried and bought another in May 2024. Installed it on the 5th wheel in June. By September the sun had gummed up the keypad and left it sticky. We should remove the lock, return to Costco and purchase another to avoid having to buy a replacement pad. And yes, our is the "Improved" Weather Resistant Durō™ Keypad and it has deteriorated in less than 6 months. The door faced the sun but our weather is not intense in our mild climate.Only the number pad is deteriorating.

All of the pads are gummy. The top 2 keys: 1/2 and 3/4 are pulling off some coating. Keys 5/6 and 7/8 are still intact but gummy enough to retain finger prints. The finger shows what is pulling off the pads.

With this happening in less than 4 months and on a touted "improved" product I better stock up on a few of these while on sale. Of note, our first lock's number pad is holding up fine. Perhaps the one from Costco was made with inferior material.

Button membrane

This should come standard with all RV Locks. It looks better, performs better, and is higher quality than the standard cover on the buttons.
