Premium Upgrade!

The Duro upgrade to my Charter RVLock is a premium upgrade over the membrane. Easy to replace and install. Definitely a must have replacement.

Looks and feels great

My 2 year old keypad began to show signs of cracking. The customer service at RVLock was exceptional. My contact advised the keypad would be replaced under warranty but that the silicone upgrade was available for a slight up charge. Due to the Memorial Day timeframe there was a 30% savings available as well. Replacement keypad was quickly shipped and received, installed in a matter of minutes. Touch and feel of the silicone pad is a exceptional. Surely a step up from the original unit and the anticipated extended service life is a big plus! Undoubtedly one of the “best” suppliers I have worked with in a long time! Keep up the exceptional work!

MEMBRANE REPLACEMENT/UPGRADE

The new membrane is awesome and exactly how it should have been designed originally. I had to clear water out of the circuit board and the new design goes a long way to keep it out! A new foam gasket should be included with the upgrade since it too should be replaced. LOVE my RVLOCK!

The way it should be…

I bought the Duro membrane as a replacement for my Charter keypad after the original (older) keypad cracked. The warranty is only good for a sticker of the same material to apply over the cracked numbers and you have to pay shipping, or for $20 you can upgrade to the Duro membrane, which shouldn’t fail again, and is what comes standard on the new locks. “Upgrading” to this Duro membrane does require that you take the lock off and switch out the keypad internally which is not hard and is completely self explanatory. In total, this job took me about five minutes and the hardest part was peeling the old sticker off. Switching out the original internal keypad was a breeze and, as I found out, is also this same silicone Duro membrane, just translucent without numbers. In conclusion, I’m happy that I bought this product and upgraded my lock and won’t have to deal with it cracking again, however, now knowing that this is the same material inside the original lock with a sticker for the numbers just affixed over it on the outside, for those who don’t want to take the lock apart, either way you go is fine.
